Threadmaster® Threadseal Tape ~ USA Made Full Density PTFE | Merco Tape® M78

Merco Tape^® M 78 Threadmaster® Full Density made in the USA Threadseal Tape almost meets Mil Spec A-A-58092. We bet you have never seen a product description that says oh, sooo close but not quite there, so let us explain. The new, relevant A-A-58092 spec calls for 99% pure PTFE. Coloring is not pure PTFE. So any tape, our M78 included does not technically meet the spec. But density and thickness wise we are there. Like above our Merco Tape^® M 78 Threadmaster® is 3.5 mils thick and offers a specific gravity 1.2-1.55 g/cc (remember, the spec calls for 3.5 mil and 1.2 g/cc). Where you need the quality but the purity can be the same except for the coloring this is the way to go.
